Argan Oil for Your Face

Yes, you can!

If you’re not already using argan oil, chances are you’ve heard others gush about how great it is for the skin. Even still, many wouldn’t dream of using it on their face. This is no surprise given that most of us have been taught to blot away oil to avoid a shiny face and acne. While applying most oils to the skin will result in a greasy complexion and acne, it’s different with argan oil! As a matter of fact, argan oil might just be the best and most versatile skincare product you could ask for.

It’s Good For Your Skin!

Argan oil is full of all that’s good for your skin: antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamins and minerals. What it doesn’t contain is all that’s bad for you and often found in other skincare products: parabens, alcohols, and an endless array of chemicals we can’t even pronounce.

Argan oil is natural and nourishing, whether you use it on your face or body.

Use It As A Moisturizer

Argan oil is a dry oil which means that it absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy. Apply a few drops and massage it on face and neck after washing. It’ll leave your skin soft and moisturized and all of those antioxidants and minerals will work their magic and keep your skin healthy.

Make Your Own Toner

Toners can be drying and irritate skin, so why not make your own that’s free of harsh fragrances and chemicals AND hydrates your skin while toning? You can do this by adding a few drops of the oil to rose water. It’s inexpensive and easily found at the drugstore and together creates a naturally fragrant toner that will leave your skin looking and feeling fabulous.

Forget Your Antiaging Serum

If you’re looking for a little extra help at keeping your skin healthy and youthful, you can skip antiaging serums and use argan oil instead. Apply argan oil to your face and neck with special attention to the skin around your eyes and mouth where fine lines and wrinkles are most common. Apply your favorite night cream on top and voila—extra anti-aging help to keep your skin looking young and smooth!

DIY Face Mask

For those who enjoy a luxurious face mask but would rather not spend a ridiculous amount for one at the spa; argan oil and a few ingredients found in your kitchen are the answer. A couple of drops of argan mixed with other tried and true ingredients like egg whites and honey can give you a face mask that will nourish and brighten your skin while you soak on the tub or enjoy a girls night in. The internet is full of great home face mask recipes that are instantly made better with a few drops of argan oil.

As you can see, the uses for argan oil for face are pretty impressive. It can be used as we’ve covered here or added to pretty much any of your favorite skincare products if you’re looking for extra hydration and nourishment.

Bonus tip: Apply it to your lips before bed and wipe off in the morning to easily get rid of flakes and keep your lips from chapping!
